Recently, I have made it my life's dream to work at ESPN as a sports anchor/analyst. This is something that I wasn't always interested in.
To be radically honest, being in sports journalism and broadcast was a suggestion of one of my dad's good friends made at a Texas vs. Texas A&M watch party in 2010. He had just said that he thought it would be something I could excel in. Now, here I am two years later with passion for sports and reporting on it; I feel ready to take on any and every challenge that stands between me and my dream of one day appearing on ESPN.
While still a student at UT, my most immediate goal is to obtain an internship this summer. I have a special interest in interning at Fox 29/KABB in San Antonio, Texas, my hometown. However, I am also searching for and evaluating every opportunity that is out there.
After a hopeful internship this summer, who knows where I'll end up. All I know is that sports journalism and broadcast is, without a doubt, what I want to do with my life.
